On August 15, 2008, six teams, composed of staff, students, and interns of HMSC, took to the field in front of the NAL. Their performances would be adjudicated by the most honest judges the marine station could produce. The goal: determine which team was the greatest collection of athletes HMSC has ever produced (to date), and which were the pathetic wanna-bes. All afternoon their battles ranged, over land and sea (and sky, if you consider how tall John and Jack Chapman are), through five events: the Tug-of-War, the Sponge Race, the Wheelbarrow Race, the Cart Slalom, and the Rescue Relay. In the end, one team stood alone, as on a mountain of their vanquished foes. That team was... Not Above Cheating!
