- Visiting Coast Guard Cutter Alert. The Coast
Guard Cutter ALERT is the last 210-foot medium endurance cutter
constructed. The keel was laid on January 5, 1968 at the Coast
Guard Yard, Curtis Bay Maryland, and she was commissioned on Coast

- Visiting Coast Guard Cutter FIR. The Coast
Guard Cutter FIR is 225-foot in lenght and a beam of 46 feet.
FIR is homeported in Astoria, OR, and is responsible for servicing
and maintaining 150 aids to navigation along the coasts of Oregon
and Washington and in the Columbia River. FIR was
commissioned on November 8th, 2003 following a three-month voyage

- Visiting Coast Guard Cutter FIR. The 225-footCutter
is the 13th "Juniper" Class seagoing buoy tender to
be built by Marinette Marine Corp. for the U.S. Coast Guard in
Marinette, Wisconsin. Officially a "B" class.
