Each sound set in MobySoft contains a set of recordings made in one place in one particular fashion. The README file that is included in each of these sound sets describes the circumstances of the recording and the details of the calls in each sound file.

These are specialized datasets from the series of International Workshops on the Detection and Localization of Marine Mammals Using Passive Acoustics. They have mainly cetacean sounds, but also include recordings of other sound sources and background noise.
