This page will help you acquire available MBP broodstock and read or download suggested MBP broodstock

Please only make suggested crosses as they have been evaluated based on extensive field performance.
Our results show that growth and survival vary widely based on the specific cross made. Making crosses that are not
based on MBP field evaluations may produce families with poorer than expected performance.

A private company, Austin Creek Inc. has been established to distribute and sell MBP broodstock to US hatcheries.
The company is based in Netarts bay, Oregon, and is owned by oyster farmer Mark Wittwer. Austin Creek maintains large numbers of oysters
from most of parental families that gave rise to top-performing MBP families. If you want to obtain some of these parental families, please
contact Mark. The more advanced notice you can give Mark the better as he may need to fatten the broodstock before sales.
