On the
Crest of Discovery
The
Hatfield Marine Science Center (HMSC) is proud to welcome
the public to SeaFest 2008, an open house and marine
festival.
Saturday’s activities run from 10AM to 4:30 pm. All events
are free!

The
Research Vessels Wecoma and Elakha will be available for tours
this year.
Coast Guard
SAR Demonstration:
The Coast Guard will conduct a hoist from the stern of the 47'
Motor Lifeboat. This would be to simulate
a possible Medical evacuation from any vessel and/or removing
passengers from a sinking vessel or vessel on fire. The helicopter
will conduct a pick up of someone in the water.
Shuttle:
Ride: Marine Discovery Tours offering free limited number of rides on Yaquina Bay on the "Oregon Rocket". Tickets available at the Buoy Toss game in Kid's Zone
Highlights:
-Ocean Passports (answer questions and win prizes)
-Behind the scenes tours and hands-on science exhibits
-Generation Science (kindergarten through college activities)
-Community conservation and environment displays
A courtesy shuttle bus will be available throughout the day for
those parking in remote lots.
