At the Hatfield Marine Science Center Bookstore, just off the exhibit floor, you'll find books, videos, games, apparel and a host of other wonderful things related to the ocean and natural science. Best-selling science books, field guides, children's books and resources for teachers are available to buy on the spot, or to order from our on-line store.

OREGON COAST QUESTS!

Quests are fun, place-based adventures that use clues and hints to encourage you to explore the natural, cultural and historical treasures of Oregon's coastal communities. Suitable for groups of all ages (and great fun for families), Quests allow you to search at your own pace through parks and other public spaces throughout Lincoln, Coos and Benton counties.
The clues are found in the Oregon Coast Quests guidebooks, available at the HMSC Bookstore (and other bookstores around the region). At the end of each self-guided Quest, participants will find a hidden Quest box containing a logbook to sign and a hand-carved stamp to mark their accomplishment in their personal copy of the Quest book. The true "treasure" is the fun of exploring the central coast and learning more about its special places.
