Maps and directions from GoogleMaps

Newport is an hour west of Interstate 5 via Oregon Highway 20, the quickest (and least curvy)  route between the Willamette Valley and the coast. A number of other routes cross the Coast Range, and many visitors enjoy the leisurely, scenic trip along the Pacific Coast Highway, US 101.

While most visitors drive to the coast, SeaPort Airlines now offers air service from Portland International Airport, and shuttle service is also available. Bus service is provided from Amtrak stations in Portland and Albany via the Valley Retriever.

The free-to-overnight-visitors City Loop Shuttle makes several stops daily at the HMSC. Download a route map and schedule here, in .pdf format.
