New publication - Short-tailed Albatrosses breed in the Ogasawara Islands 80 years after extirpation

The translocation and hand-rearing of 70 Short-tailed Albatross chicks over a 5-yr period catalyzed the re-establishment of breeding in the Ogasawara (Bonin) Islands after 80 years of absence from these historical nesting sites. Results published in the journal Animal Conservation by the Yamashina Institute for Ornithology and SOL.
