Yaquina Head summary report for 2014 is now available

Hello All,

Our summary report for the 2014 Summer breeding season at Yaquina Head is now available here.  A few of the 2014 highlights include:

1) Murre diets were dominated by smelt, the highest overall percent recorded so far.  Diets during the past 3 of 4 years have been dominated by smelt, with very little cold water associated sand lance

2) Eagle predation was particularly intense and resulted in the lowest reproductive success recorded to date.  Only 0.17 fledglings/pair!

3) We are now including Brandt’s and pelagic cormorant reproductive success data.

Thanks for your interest in this project.  If you have any questions, let us know,
