Cinamon Moffett serves as the Associate Director for Research, Marine Support at the OSU Hatfield Marine Science Center. As part of the leadership team, she supports long-term strategic planning to guide the development of HMSC and the Port Orford Field Station research facilities. She is responsible for managing facility space and equipment and supervises a teams that oversee safety compliance related to HMSC lab, field, and animal use in partnership with OSU units. Her role includes creating opportunities for collaboration among HMSC researchers (OSU and co-located state/federal research and resource management partners) and coordinating marine research community engagement events. Cinamon co-chairs the HMSC emergency team and manages HMSC emergency policies and procedures, leading efforts to promote and support HMSC’s earthquake/tsunami resilience mission and infrastructure. Cinamon joined the HMSC leadership team in 2016, bringing with her previous experience in marine education, coastal land use, and nearshore fisheries resource management.
