Drummond Wengrove is the Innovation Lab Manager at the OSU Hatfield Marine Science Center. Drummond’s role serves to build a lab that supports the design, development, and testing of novel marine instrumentation and solutions by providing a creative space with the necessary tools and instruction. He leads the Innovation Lab team whose focus is on the development of sustainable technologies that utilize deep fundamental understanding to empower companies and communities. Prior to joining Hatfield in 2021, Drummond was a postdoctoral fellow at Sandia National Labs, where his work focused on developing in-cylinder combustion strategies to increase engine efficiency and reduce engine-out emissions from heavy-duty diesel engines.
