Hatfield Higher Ground Housing
We’re excited to announce the expansion of our campus with Hatfield Higher Ground Housing – a new 34,000-square-foot facility designed to accommodate upper-division and graduate students, visiting professionals, and staff affiliated with Hatfield.
Located just a short walk from the Hatfield campus and outside the tsunami zone, the housing complex is scheduled to open in the fall of 2025.
Housing Features
- 72 fully furnished studio-style apartments
- 5 fully furnished two-bedroom family units
- All units include dishes and basic cooking items (pots, pans, utensils, etc.)
Housing rates will include:
- All utilities (electricity, water, etc.)
- Wi-Fi
- Garbage/recycling service
- Free on-site laundry (shared facilities)
- Free parking
- Access to a community room and kitchen

HMSC Historic Housing
HMSC Historic Housing located on the Hatfield campus can accommodate up to 100 residents. Housing options include apartments, bunkhouses, and manufactured homes. All units come fully furnished and equipped with kitchenware. Residents have access to shared laundry facilities, outdoor volleyball and basketball courts, gazebo, and dining hall.
All utilities and access to shared resources are included in housing fees.

Apartments
There are 16 one-bedroom apartment-style housing units that accommodate up to four residents and include a fully equipped kitchen/dining area, living room, study area, bedroom with four bunk beds, and one bathroom.

Bunkhouse & Dining Hall
There are four bunkhouses on-site, each with bunk space for eight and a bathroom. Bunkhouse residents have access to a shared kitchen in the HMSC Dining Hall.

Mobile Units
Two three-bedroom manufactured homes can accommodate up to eight residents, and include two bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, and in-unit laundry.
