The machine shop consists of manual and CNC equipment for working with metals and plastics. A variety of equipment is available to suit a range of needs and skillsets.

 

CNC router

The i2RCNC router systems are suitable for milling, boring, and engraving woods and plastics. The machine runs from a PC-based control system. The machine is engineered for precision with prismatic linear guides, a fully recirculating ball screw drive system, and an aluminum T-slot table.

Mill/Drill

Engineered for precision drilling, the heavy-duty JMD-45GH Round Column Geared Head Mill Drill is loaded with intuitive features for maximum accuracy.

Acer Dynamic 1340G

Manual engine style lathe with digital read-out.

 

 

 

Trak Mill

Acer E-mill with additional Prototrak KMX control system.

Trak system converts the mill to be CNC controlled in two axes (X and Y), allowing for both conversational machine programing or the importing of profiles.

HAAS Mini Mill 2

Haas Mini Mills are the industry standard for compact machining centers. They provide an economical solution for small parts machining in a compact package that is loaded with full-size features. The Mini Mill 2 offers the same combination of small footprint, full CNC capabilities, and affordable price as the standard Mini Mill, but with extended travels.

Material Processing

Various raw material processing saws are available, including horizontal and vertical band saws, table saw, and chop saw.

 

Sanding equipment includes belt sander, disk sander, and downdraft sanding table.

 

Material Finishing

There is machinery to finish and clean equipment, including a sandblasting cabinet with various bead blast media and an ultrasonic cleaner.
