Project Summary
Client: Marine Mammal Institute
Problem: MMI uses drones extensively to survey our coastal marine mammals; accurate altitude readings are critical to this dataset.
Solution: The iLab worked with graduate students and postdocs from MMI to develop an existing system into one that was easily reproducible and robust in the field. The iLab has produced over 25 LidarBoxes and shipped them to labs worldwide. The design files for the system are available with an open source article on the system currently pending review.
