Nearly every summer the Marine Bioinvasions Lab has one or two summer REUs. The REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates) are college undergraduates with an interest in marine science. They come from institutions around the country. They are able to choose their specific projects, usually having to do with Mud Shrimp or Ghost Shrimp, in the Yaquina and nearby estuaries. Undergraduates are encouraged to apply through the Hatfield Marine Science Center program.
