2023 Research Summit FAQ

 

How do I register for the HMSC Summit?

Ready to join us? Registration is required for attendance, and space is limited. The 2023 HMSC Research Summit is an onsite event with limited remote viewing options. Check out the tour, workshop, and breakout room options before you register. Click here to register. Registration is now closed, and the event is full.

 

When is the registration deadline?

The registration deadline is October 10.

 

Is there a registration fee to attend?

In order to encourage broad participation, we will not be charging a registration fee. However, we will be providing food throughout the event, and space is limited, so advance registration is required. If your plans to attend change, please let us know as soon as possible.

 

Can I attend the HMSC Research Summit remotely?

The 2023 HMSC Research Summit is an onsite event with limited remote viewing options. The welcome and the research talks will be shared live via Zoom. You must register for the remote option at the link below to receive the Zoom link for this event. Click here to register.

 

What do I do if I need to cancel my registration?

If your plans to attend change, please let us know as soon as possible. The in-person reservation was capped, so if you can no longer attend, please email Cinamon Moffett, and we will give your spot to someone else.

 

Where do I check in?

Please meet in the atrium on the first floor of the Gladys Valley Marine Studies Building. See this HMSC campus map.

 

Is food provided?

One drink ticket will be provided for those registered for the pre-event onsite social on October 17. Food will be for sale at Ultralife Cafe.

Food will also be provided for the full-day event on Oct 18 as part of the registration.
• Coffee and pastries: 8:30 - 9 a.m.
• Coffee and pastries: 10 - 10:20 a.m.
• Lunch: 12:10 - 1:10 p.m.
• Coffee and Cookies: 2:40 - 2:55 p.m.

 

Where do I park?

You can park anywhere on the Hatfield campus in a paved stall. No parking pass is required.

 

What if I can’t remember which tours/ workshops or discussion rooms I signed up for?

They will be specified on your event name tag.
