Scholarships are available until December 2017.

Oregon Sea Grant has received a grant from the Siletz Tribal Charitable Contribution Fund to provide scholarships for Lab and Field Experiences at the Hatfield Marine Science Center to groups that demonstrate financial need within the Siletz Tribal service area.  In order to qualify, you must be associated with a Title 1 school in one of the following Oregon counties:

  • BentonConfederated Tribe of the Siletz Indians Logo
  • Clackamas
  • Lane
  • Lincoln
  • Linn
  • Marion
  • Multnomah
  • Polk
  • Tillamook
  • Washington
  • Yamhill

These funds are available on a first come, first serve basis to groups that qualify.  Applicants must submit a letter of justification in order to receive consideration.  Funds will be awarded to qualified applicants equivalent to 50% of the total registration fee up to $150 as available.

If awarded, the scholarship funds will be applied directly to your online registration.  After your trip you are required to send at least two high quality photos (that have the required photo permissions) of your students engaging in the program at Hatfield.  Thank you letters to the Siletz Tribe recognizing their sponsorship are welcome.
