Marine and Coastal Opportunities
The roster of OSU courses held at Hatfield and other locations along the coast is now being organized by the Marine and Coastal Opportunities (MACO) program. On their website, students will find the most up-to-date course listing, internships and a wide range of opportunities for students who want to put the ocean in their major.
MACO also offers the Coastal Travel Assistance Program to help off set the cost of traveling to and from Hatfield via the Coast to Valley Express. This program is available to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as non-OSU students taking courses at Hatfield.
The Coast to Valley Express shuttle travels from the central valley to Newport and back, 4 trips daily, with multiple pick-up locations including OSU's McNary Hall. Tickets are awarded on a first-come first-serve basis. Please apply early as tickets are in high demand.
